PUTRAJAYA: It was unbecoming of Lim Guan Eng to drag children into politics by mocking the Goods and Services Tax (GST) policy in a A, B, C song parody.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said it was uncalled for a chief minister to act in such manner.

He said this when commenting on a 32-second video which has gone viral showing Lim dancing while mocking the GST policy at the launch of a tuition centre in Penang last weekened.

The song was also said to have lyrics about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

"It is really weird for a chief minister to behave as such and DAP's hate politics is just like 'ahli politik jalanan (carpetbagger)'.

"Everything under sky it (DAP) wants to politicise. As a multi-racial nation, DAP should promote the value of togetherness...not drag children into politics," he said after presenting the ministry's 2017 excellent service award to 478 recipients today.-NST
