Two Bikers Badly Hurt In Crash At Mile 32 Kuching-Serian Road

KUCHING: Two motorcyclists were rushed to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Sarawak General Hospital here following a collision at Mile 32 Kuching-Serian Road near here.

Their motorbikes were badly damaged in the accident that occurred around 6pm on Saturday.

One of the victims, a 24-year-old man, was in a state of unconsciousness after falling from his motorcycle.

The other biker, 18, was reported to be lying on the ground due to bone fractures.

In an unrelated incident, a vacant residential unit located at Jalan Sungai Maong Hilir here was nearly destroyed in a fire yesterday.

According to the state operations centre, a team from Batu Lintang fire and rescue station made it to the scene at 11.21am , ten minutes after a distress call.

The fire damaged about 80 per cent of the structure. The firemen brought the blaze under control at 11.26am while the operation concluded around noon.

The authority is looking into the cause of fire. -BP
