Two Suspected Secret Society Members Killed In Shootout With Police

KUALA LUMPUR: Two suspects, believed to be members of a secret society, were killed in a shootout with police at the Selayang – Kepong Expressway today.

Selangor Criminal Investigation head Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the incident occurred about 4 am after police noticed a car being driven in a suspicious manner during an operation, code-named Op Cantas Khas 2.

He said police chased the car after it attempted to crash through a road block.

“During the chase, the car grazed and rammed into the police patrol car, before it skidded and crashed into a tree by the road side.

“The two suspects got out of the car and a shootout occurred during which they were hit,” he told reporters when met at the scene.

Mohd Adnan said police searched the car and found two pistols, including one with six bullets inside, 11 plastic packets, believed to contain drug, nine handphones and a bag.

He said police believed the suspects, both in their 20s, were involved in four murder cases reported in the Klang Valley, including involving a shooting incident in Batu Caves last March.

“Police also found identity cards, believed to belong to other individuals on the suspects,” he added. – Bernama
